Greetings Today is back after our Covid-induced hiatus and we are as keen as everyone else to get back to business. September is normally Autumn trade fair time, but despite there being no physical shows this year, we still have plenty of things to inspire. We have a fantastic new website and now we’ve adjusted the format of the magazine to a handy new size, perfect for slipping under shop counters or to keep on your desk.
Our bounce back issue is all about sharing what has happened over the past few months, what’s new and what’s in store for 2021. We spoke to some retailers to see how they traded over lockdown and what things are like now in our New Normal story on page 24. Danilo are looking ahead with a sneak peek at some of the new ranges they are launching over the coming months in their cover story on page 14. In Ward’s Words (p52), Sarah Ward discusses the newly launched Gift of the Year competition and website. While Henri Davis looks at how the pandemic has shifted environmental concerns over manufacturing and packaging yet again on page 54.
We are staring down the barrel of the all-important Christmas trading period and we hope this issue provides plenty of encouragement and stimulus to guide us all through the coming weeks and months.
