The Exacompta Clairefontaine group has received seven nominations for the 2023 Stationery Matters Awards, which are due to be held during the upcoming London Stationery Show in May.
Showcasing the bestselling Aquarel range from Exacompta that’s inspired by the Scandinavian ‘Hygge’ trend, the Store Box Multi drawer set features pastel colours that encourage imagination, calmness and wellbeing by creating a cocooning atmosphere. Named as a finalist in the Filing & Storage Product of the Year category, this system has 11 drawers of different sizes, which can be repositioned within the unit to suit the user’s organisational needs. This Blue Angel certified product is made using post-consumer recycled plastics.
Additionally, the eco-friendly Exacompta Maïa range is being highlighted through its multi-compartmental pencil case, which is nominated for Sustainable Product of the Year. Made from recycled plastic bottles (rPET), the item is available in a selection of four vivid colours and is lined with recycled polyester to protect it from stains and dirt.
Nominated for the Diary, Organiser or Calendar of Year award, the Mini Planner from Clairefontaine’s Evanescence collection features a handy ‘to do’ tick box list and a grid for bullet journaling, plus a separately shaded area for doodling and sketching. The product profiles the latest designs of Parisian artist, Edith Duprez-Chenu and draws inspiration from her experiences working with the likes of John Galliano and Christian Dior.
Another new Clairefontaine collection is represented in the Licenced Stationery Product of the Year category. Created by designer Sophie Griotto, the selection of Inkebana notebooks combine the concepts of Ikebana, which is the traditional Japanese art of arranging floral compositions with the artistic flair discovered through ink.
Following on from the popularity of the bestselling Rhodia Goalbooks, a new selection of striking metallic colours has been launched to ensure they are aligned to the latest colour trends. Incorporated within the Italian leatherette covers, the new colours include a stylish gold, bronze, copper and titanium, as well as a classic white, reflecting a luxurious sophistication. Shortlisted within the Notebook or Journal of the Year category, these latest additions feature an orange elastic closure, expanding inner pocket, a pen loop and two ribbon bookmarks.
A perfect addition to the range of Eucalyptus envelopes, the newly released selection of correspondence boxes from Clairefontine’s Pollen brand offer a natural choice for those seeking a touch of luxury. Featuring an attractive floral motif that depicts the calming colours of eucalyptus foliage, they have been nominated for the Social Stationery Product of the Year award.
Finally, the Jacques Herbin Kenzo Takada calligraphy gift set has been shortlisted within the Writing Instrument of the Year category. Based on the stylish Kenzo Takada license, the set features a Jacques Herbin glass pen, 10ml Kenzo Takada Shogun ink bottle and a calligraphy pad, which contains 52 sheets of varying paper weights and colour.
Lawrence Savage, Marketing Manager for ExaClair Limited, which is the UK subsidiary of the group, said: “We are absolutely overjoyed to have been nominated for these esteemed awards. To have been shortlisted within a staggering seven separate categories is phenomenal and emphasizes the innovative nature and endeavour of those involved in the development and manufacturing operations across the whole of Exacompta Clairefontaine.”
All the winners will be announced at the Stationery Matters Awards on May 16.
