If you’re thinking ahead to Christmas then Bewilderbeest can pretty much guarantee you some bestsellers because Iain says the Christmas cards ‘sell like flippin’ hot cakes’!
Bewilderbeest will be exhibiting at Harrogate Home & Gift for the first time! Having just launched a bundle of new cards at PG Live last month, the team is looking forward to showing off their daft and richly-detailed new cards further north.
Bewilderbeest (run by Iain and Maddy) believe that the best things in life make you look twice. They’re absurd, they’re funny, and they don’t always make sense (much like Iain and Maddy themselves). Their cards are offbeat and quirky, without being rude, so they’re safe to send to Great Aunt Gertrude (unless she detests questionable puns, in which case you’re on your own).
Bewilderbeest’s Chief Nitwit, Iain Hamilton, is from a farming background and many of his designs are countryside themed, with a heavy dose of absurdity, which he feels will be a big hit at Harrogate. Pigs on tractors, bulls in wellies, and Labradors magicking up pheasants, all stem from his upbringing and interests (though he never managed to actually get the pig to drive the tractor).
Plus, Bewilderbeest has recently added to its best-selling dog range, because let’s face it, who doesn’t love their four-legged friends!?
If you’re thinking ahead to Christmas then Bewilderbeest can pretty much guarantee you some bestsellers because Iain says the Christmas cards sell like flippin’ hot cakes, year after year. They’ll all be on display at Home & Gift, so be sure to bring your festive cheer, even if it’s a blazing summer day. Iain will try to lay his hands on some snow and a Christmas pud.
Iain won a Henries award last year for Most Promising Young Designer (despite his greying hair), so the Bewilderbeest stand (DP4-4) is worth keeping your peepers peeled for. You can’t miss him, he’s 6ft 8in tall.
If you need further incentive, Iain will also be giving out some VERY useful ‘equipment’ on his stand!
