A greeting card and gift firm has received a business boost from retail entrepreneur Theo Paphitis
Back in January, Beth Vernazza, owner of Beth’s Craftings, posted about her business during Small Business Sunday and was one of six weekly winners to gain a retweet or repost by Theo to his half a million Twitter, 50k+ Instagram and almost 300k LinkedIn followers.
The weekly initiative, set up by Theo in 2010, now has more than 4,000 #SBS winners and supports small businesses in the UK.
Theo re‐shared Beth’s message to his combined 800,000 Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram followers and, as a result, Beth’s Craftings has had more followers and extra orders for its handmade greeting cards and gifts.
The company is also profiled on the #SBS website (www.theopaphitissbs.com), which is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners. Beth also had the opportunity to attend the annual SBS event in Birmingham on Friday February 20 to meet with Theo, collect her certificate and show him some products from her business.
Beth said: “I started my business back in 2023 in the corner of my living room, making personalised greeting cards and gifts. I’ve seen a lot of growth over the past couple of years and it is great to have support from Theo, because it’s been tough trying to raise our profile and Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the word about what we do.”

Six lucky businesses are re‐tweeted every Monday at 8pm and then invited to enter their profile on the new website, attend the annual #SBS networking event and take advantage of the networking opportunities.
