Cards For Good Causes Braille cards

Cards For Good Causes, the UK’s largest multi-charity Christmas card retailer, is promoting diversity and inclusion within the greeting card industry this festive season

For the first time, eight of its staffed pop-up shops will offer customers the opportunity to personalise their greetings in Braille, allowing heartfelt messages to be inserted directly into Christmas cards for visually impaired friends and family. This initiative has been developed to ensure more people can experience the joy of receiving a card that is both meaningful and accessible.

In partnership with the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB), which has joined as a charity partner this year, Cards For Good Causes has also introduced a specially designed Christmas card featuring ‘Merry Christmas’ written in Braille on the front. By showcasing accessible designs alongside its traditional range, the organisation is highlighting the importance of representation for all communities.

CEO Christine Ansell said: ”Cards For Good Causes believes it is essential that everyone in society sees themselves reflected in these expressions. Diversity and inclusion are viewed as vital to ensuring the greeting card industry remains relevant, representative, and meaningful.

”By championing accessible and inclusive cards, Cards For Good Causes is ensuring that the simple yet powerful act of sending a card truly includes everyone.”

The Braille facility can be found at its shops in Sloane Street, Kingston, Edinburgh, Chichester, Stamford, York, Norwich and Exeter, and all cards can be purchased online at www.cardsforcharity.co.uk
