Cherry Orchard Publishing MD Jackie Collins and Paul Money from Arundel Post Office went on a special school trip for Festive Friday
Jackie and Paul visited Arundel C of E Primary School in West Sussex to help write Christmas cards with the children to promote card writing.
The children wrote up to two cards each for friends and family, as well as some for those who may be alone this Christmas.
Jackie told Greetings Today: ”For the past two years, I’ve proudly marked Festive Friday by taking card writing straight to where the magic starts: the classroom. This year I had the pleasure of visiting two primary schools in Arundel, alongside Paul Money from Arundel Post Office, to give children the chance to experience the joy – and impact – of sending a handwritten card.

”As part of the visits, I donated greeting cards and a pen for every child, so each pupil could choose a loved one, or someone they know who might be feeling lonely this year, and write a message to brighten their day. The response was genuinely heart-warming. From the moment the cards were handed out, the children were completely engaged – thoughtful, enthusiastic, and surprisingly intent on getting every word ‘just right’.
”Festive Friday, created by the Greeting Card Association, is all about encouraging card writing, and seeing those values come to life in person is a powerful reminder of what our industry does best: helping people connect. Huge thanks to Paul once again for inviting me to this wonderful event – sharing the tradition with the next generation has become a highlight of my festive season.’’
