Wetherby-based artist Nikky Corker has had her quirky artwork as part of The Eco-friendly Card Co portfolio for the past 20 years; she depicts her larger-than-life characters in all kinds of everyday situations, often with a gently amusing twist. Whether it’s wild swimming, walking the coast path or cat-yoga, her characters are often shown outside enjoying the natural world. Nikky says: “My inspiration comes from life itself and the little things that make us happy. Memories of carefree childhood holidays and the quirky humour that can be found in almost any situation. My motto is crack a smile and pass it on!”
Nikky’s cards are blank inside and available either bagged in a compostable bag or with a card-clasp label. Like all cards published by The Eco-friendly Card Co they are printed on 100% recycled FSC board and supplied with 100% recycled envelopes.
Lindsay Perrett is a linocut printmaker based in North Yorkshire with a lifelong love of colour and the beauty of our natural world. Her prints explore the wildlife, plant life and landscapes of the countryside around her, inspired by long bike rides along country lanes and walks in the North York Moors and Dales. Her collection is printed on a smooth, uncoated 100% recycled board to reflect the feel of the original artwork and comes with 100% recycled Kraft envelopes.
Inspired by the British coast and countryside, Julia Crossland creates illustrative mixed media paintings from her riverside studio in Yorkshire. She enjoys going out with her sketchbook for walks, observing the birds and wildlife, the colours and textures of the landscape and the change of seasons and uses all these influences to create collections of work that convey a sense of story. In addition to blank cards, Julia has also created a number of Christmas card designs for The Eco-friendly Card Co including winter landscape and nativity scenes.
The Wildlife Trusts
The Eco-friendly Card Co is launching a new collection in support of The Wildlife Trusts at Harrogate. Featuring 24 new designs of blank greeting cards, the range showcases the very best of British Wildlife throughout the seasons, from delicate butterflies to magnificent humpback whales. Every card includes fascinating information on the reverse about the species depicted on the front. A 2027 calendar, charity Christmas cards and notecard wallet packs are also available.
