With Neurodiversity Celebration Week and Autism Awareness Month approaching in March and April, stationery brand Sunshine Lane has launched a timely offering for the growing neuro-inclusive market
The new Wired for Wonderful collection offers 20 designs that aim to move away from traditional clichés and provide authentic representation for the neurodivergent community, including those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other processing differences.
Steering away from the common puzzle piece imagery and superpower metaphors, Wired for Wonderful focuses on the lived reality of neurodiversity. From celebrating a ‘diagnosiversary’ to acknowledging the ‘Aha!’ era of a late-in-life discovery, the range has been designed to fill a significant gap in the current card aisle.
“These are the messages I wished I’d seen in card aisles as an autistic person,” said Emma Fox, founder of Sunshine Lane. “I wanted to create something grounded in our real experiences – like the peace of an undisturbed routine or the value of sitting in silence with someone who feels ‘safe’ – that feels inclusive to everyone who thinks a little differently.”
The cards are printed on high-quality matte cardstock to ensure a premium, non-reflective, and tactile finish.
Neurodiversity Celebration Week runs from March 16-20. April is Autism Awareness Month – World Autism Awareness Day is on April 2.
