The Giftware Association (GA) has announced the appointment of four new Committee members: Meg Hawkins, Demi Pendakis, Stephen Spencer, and Jackson Szabo
Their appointments follow the recent National Committee Strategy Day, where The GA reaffirmed its focus on clearer communication, strengthened governance, improved member value and a refreshed brand presence. The new committee members will play an important role in helping to deliver these priorities.
Meg Hawkins – Founder, Meg Hawkins Ltd
British watercolour artist Meg Hawkins is the founder of Meg Hawkins Ltd, a growing giftware brand known for nature-inspired artwork across homeware, stationery and licensed collections. Her products are sold nationally and internationally. With experience in building a creative business, licensing and product development, Meg brings practical insight into the needs of independent brands.
Demi Pendakis – Founder, F.Y.G
Demi Pendakis is the founder of F.Y.G, a luxury home fragrance brand focused on responsible sourcing and sensory-led design. With more than 20 years of experience in global retail and manufacturing, he has developed strong expertise in brand development, product innovation and supply chain management. Demi will support members looking to grow sustainably and strengthen their market presence.
Stephen Spencer – Founder, Stephen Spencer + Associates Ltd
Stephen Spencer is an established consultant in customer experience and retail strategy. He advises retailers, heritage destinations and cultural organisations on creating effective visitor and commercial experiences. His knowledge of retail environments and consumer behaviour will support The GA’s work in member engagement and commercial development.
Jackson Szabo – Portfolio director, Hyve Group
Jackson Szabo oversees Spring Fair and Autumn Fair, two key trade events in the UK’s gift and home sector. His role provides a broad view of retail trends, supplier relationships and event strategy. Jackson’s insight will help the GA deepen its industry connections and support businesses across the trade network.
