Greeting card publisher Heather Trefusis Art is supporting a local hedgehog sanctuary by donating hundreds of cards featuring one of its bestselling designs
The donation is being made to Hornbeam Wood Hedgehog Sanctuary, near Heather’s home in Hertfordshire, which is currently caring for more than 40 hoglets alongside adult hedgehogs.
As well as donating cards, Heather is also providing food for the young hedgehogs.
Hedgehogs have always been one of my favourite animals, which is why I painted the design in the first place.

The sanctuary will sell the donated cards through its gift shop, with 100% of the proceeds going towards its work caring for hedgehogs.
The card features one of Heather’s hand-painted watercolour designs and carries the caption ‘Hogs and Kisses’. The design has become one of the publisher’s bestselling cards, with its versatile sentiment making it suitable for a range of occasions.
Heather explained: “When I heard that the sanctuary needed extra support, I really wanted to do something to help. Donating the cards means the design can keep making people smile, while also raising money for the animals I love.”
