Publisher Words `N` Wishes, owned by Rod Brown and Carl Salt, has today (Weds May 20) announced the acquisition of Nigel Quiney Publications and Paper Rose
In a statement, Rod Brown said: ”We are pleased to announce that following lengthy discussions with Paul Taylor we have completed the acquisitions of publishers Nigel Quiney Publications Ltd and Paper Rose Ltd with immediate effect.
”Words`N`Wishes has been very fortunate to have built a strong publishing business over the last 15 years and have been looking for a while to find the right opportunity to strengthen our market prescence in what has been and continues to be a challenging market place.
”Once we got into discussions with Paul regarding both highly regarded companies it was not a difficult decision to close on. Both publishers have a history of good product and therefore with the necessary financial support and working capital, will allow them to continue to drive their product strengths.
”Both companies will continue to operate as they currently are and for the next three months, Alison Butterworth has agreed to manage both businesses through a handover before a well earned break. I shall strategically head up all three businesses as CEO going forward. Words`n`Wishes will also continue to operate on its own, business as usual, doing what we do best! However, I am sure that there will be many good working practices, synergies and opportunities to be explored over the months ahead strengthening our overall prescence in the market place.
